I don’t love taking pictures inside the church so I didn’t take any but these were outside.

Although not required - I would recommend going into the Basilica with shoulders and knees covered.

We were able to walk right into the Basilica and the paintings and architecture was just stunning. I would recommend adding this to your list of places to visit while in Bari.

Beautiful Basilica in the heart of Bari. A little different to other Basilicas we have seen in Italy as this one was a place of pilgrimage for both Catholic and  Orthodox Christian.

Beautiful fresh flowers filled the church and the mosaic flooring was sublime.

The Crypt downstairs is also a love place to visit.

This Basilica is a masterpiece of architecture both inside as well as outside. It was really crowded - both catholic and greek orthodox celebrate Saint Nicholas. On the left side of basilica you have great souvenir and gift shop. Basilica is in old town of Bari, easy to reach by walk. Its near city Port as well.
