Basilica of Saint Nicholas

I don’t love taking pictures inside the church so I didn’t take any but these were outside. Although not required - I would recommend going into the Basilica with shoulders and knees covered. We were able to walk right into the Basilica and the paintings and architecture was just stunning. I would recommend adding this to your list of places to visit while in Bari.

Beautiful Basilica in the heart of Bari. A little different to other Basilicas we have seen in Italy as this one was a place of pilgrimage for both Catholic and Orthodox Christian. Beautiful fresh flowers filled the church and the mosaic flooring was sublime. The Crypt downstairs is also a love place to visit.
