It’s an interesting tour, and not expensive. If you are a student or over 65, it’s really inexpensive! Worth the 15-20 minutes for some education if you are in the area!

Cannot Express How To Start Your Tour First In Matera Park Up Close By Car Park It's 1 Euro Per Hour. And This Is Really Informative And Shows You How People Lived Thousands Of Years Ago. Don't Forget Matera Is The 3rd Oldest City In The World.

This is a pretty nice experience to understand how villagers lived long ago and make due with what they had. Tickets are no more than 10€ per person and it takes you into three different rooms. The first is a typical home (one room), then they show you how ice and snow were preserved to keep things fresh, next was a 10 part mini doc (maybe 30min long) on the story of Matera and the first settlers plus more. All in all it's a good way to get an understanding of things.
