Rubjerg Knude: The lighthouse in the desert!

This lighthouse has become world famous because it is destined to disappear among the sand dunes. It is located 60 meters from the rugged and fragile coastline facing the North Sea, also in northern Jutland. It was once located 200 meters from the coast, but continuous coastal erosion has shortened the distance, and in 2019, to prevent its disappearance, it was moved 60 meters into the high sand dunes. Coastal erosion is ongoing, so it is destined to disappear anyway!
