We spent a couple of days in Cordova during the Semana Santa, which we then realised to be a really serious thing in Andalusia, as it literally transforms towns and cities across this region. Streets were packed of people assisting at the many processions of elaborately decorated floats with Jesus and Mary statues along with brass bands and groups of pointy-hood wearing Nazarenos.
