Hôtel Mercure Mont-Saint-Michel

The location is a bit old-fashioned, but the view of Mont Saint Michel is priceless and the food is delicious. I recommend the "moules a la creme fraiche" and the oysters.

Very bad service! We got there around 0910 pm, we ordered  the wine, food, and everything. At 0951 the only things that they brought us was the water and the small muscles  soup for starter. They completely  forgot about us, the servers were only bring food, beverages,  and dessert to the back tables. Very very bad service! If there is lower than 1 star I would definitely  give it to this place! I would not recommend  it to anyone. I really hope they see my review!!!!!

Excellent restaurant. Amazing services, good prices vs excellent food you getting.  I strongly recommend going to this restaurant and advice to make reservation ahead of time. Try any seafood plate. All plates are excellent.  We really enjoyed the restaurant

Excellent food, poor customer service. Slow and brusck. If you want something specific like gluten free or vegetarian forget it. Want to swap something on the menu? Forget it. Shame because the dishes when they finally arrived 1h after ordering were delicious

L'antre Terre et Baie

On our way to Mont Saint Michel from Paris (which is quite long by car!) we had a small deviation to visit this huge castle, the biggest of those in the Loire Valley. We enjoyed a walk in the gardens and the visit of the inside.

Wow! Just wow. Such a beautiful place. Definitely work the travel. I would recommend a bike ride in the French countryside to get there. The chateau is stunning when you see it. It looks like you’re in a dream.

Amazing building with lots of interesting history. Pleasant, open gardens in which to relax and have a picnic. Negative points were the lack of bins/recycling points and toilets and the cafe in the castle which was overpriced and not clean.

Great castle, no furniture but good exhibitions. Great garden. You can also rent golf cars to drive around and small boats. Wood around is great for a walking tour. At night you can see a lot of wild animals.

Château de Chambord

Mont Saint Michel is magical, but it can get really crowded. I suggest to walk to the Mount early in the morning and enjoy the visit to the Abbey before it gets too busy. Also, the restaurants on the main street (the Grand Rue) are way too expensive for what they offer. Take a moment to enjoy the view from the viepoint at La Caserne at sunset, if you have time.
