Sequoias are impressive and the loop trail is eaasy and relaxing. You can easily spot bears among the trees!
If you want to take a fantastic walk through the woods, this is where you need to go. The views are beyond words. So many wonderful things to see. The trees and mountains, and wildlife. The experience is one that you will remember for a lifetime. It's an amazing walk, you truly will enjoy. If you have never felt small after your stroll through the tree you will. Have a picnic and take in all of the beauty.
My 9 year old daughter saw on PBS kids about Sequoia National Park. She really wanted to visit this park and see Redwood trees. This place is a must see. It is 4 hours from LAX ( Los Angeles airport) to the park entrance. Once you enter the state park then there is another an hour drive to see the giant trees. These trees are located about at an elevation of 5000 feet. There are small trails to walk around and checkout the trees. There is also a shuttle bus that takes you to different locations where the giant trees are located. The park entrance fee is $35. The entrance pass is valid for 7 days (save your receipt if you are planning to stay around the area for multiple days). There are small restaurants and a couple of lodging places around the park. There is also wild life in the park so keep an eye for a bear or dear. We were able to see a baby dear crossing the road. Our whole experience was amazing.
