Pro: 
- gli host parlavano italiano perciò era facile capirsi
- il posto è davvero molto bello e costa pochissimo per due notti (26euro a notte, 13euro a testa noi eravamo in due). C'è un giardino bellissimo e molto curato e l'appartamento è super pulito. 
- c'è molto silenzio, si dorme benissimo
- c'è un 7eleven supermercato vicino
- affittano gli scooter per 7euro al giorno

Cons:
- la posizione è scomoda, abbastanza lontano dalle spiagge più belle (circa 1h da quella più bella e dal centro di Samui)
- nei dintorni non c'è nulla
- la colazione non è inclusa e non ci sono locali nei dintorni, perciò noi la compravano il giorno prima al supermercato
- senza scooter non ti muovi

Hin Ta e Hin Yan sono due rocce di forma fallica. Soprannominate il nonno e la nonna si trovano a Lamai Beach, una delle spiagge più belle di Koh Samui. 
Se avete tempo fate un giretto per vederle; non sono di certo l'attrazione più bella di quest'isola, ma rappresentano una tappa caratteristica e simpatica del luogo.
Per raggiungerle bisogna camminare un po' sul lungo mare. 

Tourist trap. Only go very early. We went at 7am and only a few people there. Very beautiful, quiet and humorous. By 8:30-9am the vendors were opening their shops and many people started arriving.  Note there is a small parking lot that you will need to pay for but very inexpensive and worth it. Enjoy.

A tourist destination on Koh Samui with a quite a novel name. Prior to reaching the bay, you walk through a series of small shops selling souvenirs and the island's local 'Kalamae' coconut sweets.

The weather was lovely with the sun out so the views are nicely taken in. Despite a busy area, the place is kept quite clean and is pleasant to walk around. Parking for cars are usually THB 30 from my understanding should one want to take note.

Hin Ta Hin Yai: Koh Samui's Unique Rock Formation
If you're looking for a quirky and picturesque spot on Koh Samui, head to the Hin Ta Hin Yai rock formation on the island's southeastern coast. These unusual rock formations, locally known as the Grandfather and Grandmother rocks, have become a popular tourist attraction.
The rocks are easily accessible, located just a 30-minute motorbike ride from Chaweng Beach. Spend a few hours exploring the small shops, grabbing a bite at one of the restaurants, or relaxing at the adjacent Samui Rock Bar, which offers stunning sunset views.
The rock bar is a great spot to unwind in the evening, with reggae music, occasional fire shows, and a small beach to the left. The rocks themselves are quite unique, with one formation resembling male genitalia and the other female.
While the rocks may be a bit risqué, they offer a fun and memorable experience on your Koh Samui adventure. Don't miss this quirky attraction on your next visit to the island!

Grandfather and Grandmother Rocks (Hin Ta Hin Yai)

Tour consigliatissimo per passare una giornata in mezzo agli animali. Questi elefanti asiatici sono molto più piccoli rispetto a quelli africani e vivono in quest'area che chiamano il "santuario" perchè sono stati salvati dal circo. 
In questo tour mi sono venuti a prendere dal hotel e mi hanno portata al santuario dove mi aspettava una bella colazione. Subito dopo abbiamo creato il pastone per gli elefanti e poi glielo abbiamo dato da mangiare assieme al cocomero (di cui vanno pazzi)! Infine abbiamo fatto il bagno con loro! E' stata un'emozione grandissima lavare gli elefanti nel fango per poi spazzolarli nell'acqua. 
Ma attenzione a quando si muovono rischiano di schiacciarti! ;)
Un tour fatto davvero bene, la guida era chiara e simpatica, ci ha raccontato un sacco di curiosità su questi animali.
Consigliatissimo, è un'esperienza che insegna molto e stare a contatto con questi animali, a volte, può darci molto di più di altre cose che, invece, paiono scontate. 
P.s. è un tour etico, non si va in groppa agli elefanti, si possono accarezzare e fare foto con loro

Santuario degli elefanti

Se fai un giro nel centro di Koh Samui (che ti consiglio assolutamente!) oltre a fermarti per guardare i negozietti e mangiare street food, fatti fare una pedicure dai pesciolini. E' un'esperienza buffissima perchè ti fanno il solletico, ma dopo un po' diventa rilassante. Alla fine dei dieci minuti (puoi scegliere quanto tempo stare in base al prezzo) i miei piedi erano liscissimi

Pros:
- The hosts spoke Italian, so it was easy to understand each other.
- The place is really beautiful and very cheap for two nights (€26 per night, €13 per person for two of us). There's a beautiful, well-kept garden, and the apartment is super clean.
- It's very quiet, so you sleep well.
- There's a 7Eleven supermarket nearby.
- They rent scooters for €7 a day.

Cons:
- The location is inconvenient, quite far from the best beaches (about an hour from the best one and from the center of Samui).
- There's nothing nearby.
- Breakfast isn't included, and there's no nearby food outlets, so we bought it the day before at the supermarket.
- Without a scooter, you can't get around.

Highly recommended tour for a day surrounded by animals. These Asian elephants are much smaller than African ones and live in this area, which they call the "sanctuary" because they were rescued from the circus.
On this tour, they picked me up from my hotel and took me to the sanctuary, where a delicious breakfast awaited me. We immediately mixed the elephants' mash and fed it to them along with watermelon (which they love)! Finally, we bathed with them! It was a thrill to wash the elephants in the mud and then brush them in the water.
But be careful when they move, they risk squashing you! ;)
A really well-done tour; the guide was clear and friendly, and told us lots of interesting facts about these animals.
Highly recommended, it's a truly educational experience, and being in close contact with these animals can sometimes give us much more than other things that seem obvious.
P.S. It's an ethical tour; you don't ride the elephants; you can pet them and take pictures with them.

Elephant Sanctuary

If you wander around downtown Koh Samui (which I absolutely recommend!), besides stopping to browse the shops and eat street food, get a pedicure from the little fish. It's a really funny experience because they tickle you, but after a while, it becomes relaxing. At the end of the ten minutes (you can choose how long you stay based on the price), my feet were super smooth.
