Il centro si trova nella zona di Preparque. È uno spazio architettonico che unisce una sala espositiva, un auditorium, un museo etnografico, laboratori artigianali e un giardino botanico. Progettato per comprendere la cultura tradizionale di La Gomera e la natura vergine del Parco Nazionale di Garajonay, il Centro è un luogo di visita obbligatoria dell'isola di La Gomera. All'interno è ricostruita una casa tradizionale, con un torchio che serviva per fare il vino.

Remarkable scenery, extensive walks, very well laid out, something for serious hikers and also for novice walkers. Routes are clearly labelled and intersect at places. You can drive to some and walk from and to others. We walked to the highest peak - Alto de Garajonay. Shame walk 6 was closed off. But plenty to choose from. Worth the trek to the top.
The visitor centre staff are helpful and knowledgeable. The galettas artiesanas de Gofia (artisan biscuits renowned in area) available in shop...nothing spectacular IMHO! [rusk type texture and taste]

Great woods, dress warm, clouds, humidity and wind- feels like 16celcius at times. Good paths though- no 5 is short , takes about 1.3h.

Movie in museum is worth watching.
Contains main cultural aspects specific for Gomera. Approx 20 minutes.

You can just inhale purity with every breath you take. We took the short paths and could see cristaline water going through. In the high part we had a wonderful view. Fully recommended. Heads up, the turns can be sometimes sharp they got me a bit dizzy considering we had just taken the ferry, a disposal bag came reaally handy. Also, stay alert because some drivers do not slow down as the limit set when going down.

Timeless and mystical. I love this park, there is a line where the cold humid air hits the dry southern air, right at the top of the cliff and the results are unique.

To be surrounded by nature, this is a perfect place between montains, forest, views above the sky. Go there. I advice the road 18, a fantastic hike of 16km, 5h30/6h, +685m

Hiking in La Gomera

Consigliata per chi vuole fare bagni tranquilli, protetti dalle correnti. Facile parcheggiare, ed e' possibile anche farsi la doccia.

Inside, a traditional house has been reconstructed, complete with a wine press.

Visit to the Garajonay Park Museum

Recommended for those who want to take a quiet swim, protected from the currents. Parking is easy, and you can even take a shower.
