Lovely place to see sunset. $10 to park the car and a short 10-15 minute walk down to the main area. Toilet facilities in the car park and plenty room at the view point to space out.

Would recommend going to the left hand side for photos with no people in them as most tourists stick to the middle section. Photos attached are from during the day and then sunset.

Also, use the wide angle lens on iPhone for the best photos of the whole horseshoe.

Once you pay your fare and park is only about a 15 minutes hike to see it. You can explore around the area as well, I took my kids and they had a blast. Very picture perfect moments can definitely be had here. We didn't get to get the sunset, but it was still beautiful to see.

Absolutely stunning, we went on a Saturday and arrived around 10 am. There’s a parking fee of $10 which is not bad at all for the experience you get. It’s a short friendly walk to the view. There were families, strollers, and cute dogs on the trail. The trail was definitely wide enough to accommodate both directions of walkers. There were about 2-3 shaded areas with a little seating area on the walk in case anyone needs a little break. It was hot so make sure to bring a bottle of water. It was absolutely stunning and the drive there was beautiful as well. My favorite was finding the horses who were running free through the Navajo land. I highly recommend stopping by the booths on your drive and get a dream catcher. It has the most amazing details with an even better story behind the colors and beads. It’s a sight for everyone to enjoy!!

Horseshoe Bend

Nice place with excellent bbq and live music 

One of the best BBQ spots! Our ribs had super tender meat that was smoked to perfection. Beef brisket and pulled pork sandwiches were also very tasty and you had the choice of choosing which barbecue sauce you want. The server was very kind and quick and thankfully we got there before the dinner rush. We've been here before 5 years ago and we're very satisfied and decided to come back now. Last time we were here we had the opportunity to sit outside and there was a live band playing and people dancing. A great Texan atmosphere and even better food! (Unfortunately we were so hungry we forgot to take photos of our food until after)

We were visiting Page, AZ and saw Big John’s while driving around and looking for place to eat. We were pleasantly surprised. The BBQ ribs were excellent, and probably one of the best ribs we’ve had. The BBQ nachos topped with beef briskets are very good. The sauces complement the meats very well. However, place can get very busy resulting to long wait times.

Overall, a great BBQ joint. We wouldn’t have second thoughts to eat here again when we are in the area.

An absolute must visit when in Page.
The covered outdoor dining area is the best place to sit to enjoy live music playing in a great atmosphere. You will be sitting with locals and tourists alike.
Most meals are served with beans and potato salad or coleslaw. I ordered the number 3, which includes your choice of meat (shredded chicken, chopped beef or pork sandwich), three baby back pork ribs plus sides. The food was great and the choices of sauces on the table was excellent. The only criticism that I have is that, while delicious, the ribs were noticeably cold.
I wasn't able to raise this with a server as we weren't checked on until we had neared the end of our meal, so that was slightly disappointing, otherwise it would be worth 5 stars.

Big John's Texas BBQ

This was probably the best experience of the whole trip. Reservation is needed because the canyons can only be visited on a guided tour. The Navajo guides are amazing and wil help to get the best spots for pictures.

This was the highlight of our trip to Arizona. The views in the lower canyon were so stunning we were speechless countless times. The canyons are beautiful. The lower canyon has some steep steps and very narrow slots to squeeze through. It’s very cool and beautiful.

Fortunately, because of Covid, they are limiting the number of people in a group and that can go down at any one time. It’s a little disjointed, but that’s on the tour company - not the canyon. The canyon was a surreal and unforgettable hike and I would urge anyone within 100 miles of Page to make it a priority. Photographers heaven. Make sure to change the camera to warm colours and just enjoy the spectacular scenery. One of the most Photograph places on earth.

Our tour to the Lower Antelope Canyon was an experience to behold. The whole tour, from start to finish, was simply beautiful. The colors in the sandstone, with light, taken from various angles was awe inspiring.

Antelope Canyon is located in Navajo Nation, close to Page, Arizona.

It can be visited by organized tours only.

You need to book two separate tours to visit whole canyon. Lower and Upper.

Lower Antelope canyon entry point is accessible by walk from couple of visitors centers by various tour operators authorized by Navajo Nation Parks.

We payed $86 for tour.

Words don't give enough justice to canyon beauty.

We visited on end of December and it was really difficult to find available place.

Navajo Nation is very serious with mask mandate. They don't kid when they say you will be expelled if you do not wear mask.

We had a great guide, Candace. She was so great and helpful. She took best photos for us.

Best place for photography. I had an excellent guided tour and she helped us with taking amazing photos. Home to many films and rocks. Temperature decreases when you get lower into the canyon. No bags and video recordings allowed. Some narrow trails when walking. Best days are when sunny. Very attractive place to go, would come again.
