Cos'altro fare o vedere a Sevilla?

Una struttura a forma di funghi, da lì il nome Setas = funghi, meravigliosa. Consiglio di acquistare il biglietto con anticipo, costa 15 euro, ma li vale tutti! All'entrata potrete vedere anche un breve filmato di 15 minuti di tutta Sevilla, proiettato su un grande schermo. 
L'orario migliore è verso il tramonto, ma assicuratevi di rimanere anche dopo per vedere la struttura illuminata. Attenzione è molto affollato.

A beautiful and special construction! They will give you a very special movie experience and a stunning view on top of the completely wooden platform! It's a piece of art where you'll get to know the city better as well as appreciate some of the culture inside of it.

Great attraction that gives a twist to viewing point platforms!
You can access and stay as long as you wish, which might allow you to see the panoramic view during the day and night (if you are patient enough)
Upon arrival, There’s a 15min video about Sevilla that is absolutely amazing! It really catches your attention and leaves you wanting to know everything about Sevilla and experience everything it has to offer! Now, I wish I had more time here! Great job with capturing the essence of the province!
After the video you are free to walk around the viewing platform. There are umbrellas available to protect yourself from the sun, which in this extremely hot weather is highly appreciated!
The audio guide is good and helps you learn about what you are seeing.
The only thing that disappointed me a bit was the Aurora light show! I was expecting more. But all in all it was a great experience!
I bought tickets for 20:30, in order to see the sunset (at 21:45), it was quite early and involved a fair amount of waiting but it was a good decision as around 9:30 the place was packed.Organise your visit taking this into account!
Last but not least, at the end of the visit, when going down through the stairs, you can see many signs explaining how the seats were built, materials used, how the structure is supported, etc. very interesting!
There’s a cold water dispenser for free refills next to the exit door!

Just wow. Such an amazing artistic achievement in the middle of the city. Worth a detour to see it but we stayed across the street in a hotel close by. It was a blessing to wake up to every morning. Not too crowded either.

Go for a an hour or so if you’re not staying in the area, also a lot of cool cafes and restaurants around the area.

Setas de Sevilla

Plaza de Espana è una delle piazze principali di Sevilla e ricorda molto Venezia. Inutile dire quanto sia bella. Inoltre potrete fare anche un breve il giro sulle barchette che attraversano la piazza. Consiglio di vederla anche di notte quando è tutta illuminata. 

Breathtaking.  Pictures do not capture the beauty and grandeur of the architecture. We particularly admired the seating surrounding the wall facing the fountain that was designed after each city.  What made it magical was taking a horse carriage ride around the fountain and the park and other historical sites…it added to the nostalgia.  A must-visit when in Sevilla!

A stunning historic building, free to visit and the start of many free walking tours.
You can hire a rowing boat for on the water, sit by the fountain, wander the gardens, take a horse carriage ride (though the horses looked hot and sad), view the mosaics, feed the ducks and look at the fish.
A great way to spend an hour or two in Seville.

A true architectural marvel. This place is a must visit when you’re in Seville. The stunning design of the building and the surrounding tranquility of the gardens make it the perfect place to just hang out in when you’re in the area. There’s a lot of people that come here, but it’s so huge that it’s not really hard to find space or quiet zones for yourself.

Non comprate la guida perchè sono tutte gratuite. L'Alcazar è molto carino, personalmente mi aspettavo di più, ma lo consiglio. E' abbastanza affollato, ma ci si muove bene. 


This is a spectacular place to visit and definitely a must if you're visiting the city! You get to see beautiful architecture and wonderful gardens. We got our tickets online , which I'd recommend, and could skip the queue. A must see!

Very beautiful Palace.  Lots of history. I recommend doing the extra Royal Palace section.  The gardens are also amazing.  The gardens also have night time events that you can book, I did a light and music show at night and it was amazing.  But your tickets online and avoid the ticket line at the entrance.

The architecture is pretty great. Gardens are very well maintained and beautiful. We got our tickets directly from the website for the same day. Weekends might be a little busy so book in advance. We need couple of hours to cover the entire palace.

Royal Alcázar of Seville

Plaza de Toros, oltre ad essere uno dei monumenti più visitati della città,  è una delle arene taurine più importanti di tutta la Spagna dove ancora si tiene la corrida. Nel corso della visita alla Plaza de Toros è possibile realizzare l'itinerario seguito dai toreri prima di ogni corrida, scoprendo così il Patio de Caballos e la Capilla de los Toreros, per poi contemplare la Plaza da una prospettiva davvero esclusiva: dall'arena stessa.
La visita si conclude in corrispondenza della sala dedicata alle mostre, uno spazio che permette di scoprire l'evoluzione della tauromachia nel corso dei secoli.
Personalmente non mi ha entusiasmato, la consigliò, però, agli appassionati di corride.

A nice cultural piece in Seville that is worth a visit. There isn’t too much to the visit, you walk around a portion of the ring around the bull ring itself, including a museum with a number of pieces of clothing, art, etc. to read about and then you eventually walk out into the bull ring. It is an impressive building you can get some nice photos there. I would recommend you visit here if you are staying in Seville.

We decided to visit here, not knowing what to expect, but we were really surprised. We paid 10 euros entrance fee each for the museum and we used our phones for the audio guide. The history of the place and of bull fighting was really interesting and we were able to walk out into the centre of the bullring. The building itself is amazing. We'll worth every centime.

It’s deeply disappointing that this arena is still an active site for bullfighting. Despite the cultural significance, it’s hard to overlook the fact that six bulls are killed in each fight. Considering the number of events throughout the year, this amounts to hundreds of animals suffering for the sake of tradition. This practice feels outdated and cruel in today’s world. I sincerely hope to see a shift towards more humane uses of this historic site.

Plaza de Toros de la Real Maestranza de Caballería de Sevilla

La cattedrale è molto bella, in più con l'audio guida gratuita potrete ascoltare tutta la storia. Consiglio di salire anche in cima alla torre per vedere la città dall'alto. Guardatela anche da fuori verso sera perchè si illumina tutta.

The visit is included in the Cathedral ticket and views from top of LA Giralda was breathtaking. You walk on slanted walkways to the very top where you encounter multiple windows where you can see outside including the towers of the cathedral. Also you can see the Plaza underneath from different heights. Enjoy the climb and on top, you'll see the best views. Totally worth a visit, paired with the cathedral.

The Giralda is the 105m tall bell tower of the Cathedral of Seville and was registered in 1987 as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
This may be the most iconic structure in Seville along with the Cathedral. We had to climb up 34 stairs to reach the top and enjoyed the view of the city of Seville.
Furthermore there are 25 bells in Renaissance style at the top that ring every 15 minutes.
Going up to the top may be difficult for some people, but don’t worry.
There are some spaces to take some rest and you can also enjoy the people climbing up and the outside views thru the windows.

You don't need to buy an extra ticket to enter. The tower itself (as it is a tower) could be very tiring to climb for some. But on several floors there are banks to sit. No stairs, just slopes to climb. Do bring water. In the end, you will see the whole view of the city. If you have health problems, you can skip this place, but if you don't, don't skip it.

Seville and the Alcazar

What else to do or see in Seville?

A mushroom-shaped structure, hence the name Setas (mushrooms), is wonderful. I recommend purchasing tickets in advance; they cost 15 euros, but they're worth it! Upon entry, you can also watch a short 15-minute film of all of Seville, projected on a large screen.

The best time to visit is around sunset, but be sure to stay afterward to see the structure illuminated. Be warned, it's very crowded.

Mushrooms of Seville

Plaza de Espana is one of Seville's main squares and is very reminiscent of Venice. It's needless to say how beautiful it is. You can also take a short tour on the boats that cross the square. I also recommend seeing it at night when it's all lit up.

Don't buy the guidebook because they're all free. The Alcazar is very nice; I personally expected more, but I recommend it. It's quite crowded, but it's easy to get around.


The Plaza de Toros, besides being one of the city's most visited monuments, is one of the most important bullrings in all of Spain, where bullfights are still held. During a visit to the Plaza de Toros, you can follow the route followed by the bullfighters before each bullfight, discovering the Patio de Caballos (Courtyard of the Horses) and the Capilla de los Toreros (Chapel of the Bullfighters), and then contemplate the Plaza from a truly unique perspective: from the arena itself.

The tour concludes in the exhibition room, a space that allows you to discover the evolution of bullfighting over the centuries.
Personally, I wasn't thrilled with it, but I would recommend it to bullfighting enthusiasts.

The cathedral is very beautiful, and with the free audio guide you can hear the whole story. I also recommend climbing to the top of the tower for a bird's-eye view of the city. Also, look at it from the outside in the evening, when it's all lit up.
