Lo chef, una signora veramente simpatica e paziente, ci ha portato a fare un giro al mercato spiegandoci i vari ingredienti e la loro provenienza. E' stato davvero interessante!
Premetto, in questo tour saremmo dovuti essere un gruppo di 15 persone, invece alla fine eravamo solo in due, io e il mio ragazzo, il che è stata una gran fortuna. 
Abbiamo cucinato tutto il pomeriggio, lo chef ci mostrava con pazienza cosa fare e noi ripetevamo. E' stato molto divertente e abbiamo imparato un sacco di cose sulla cucina thailandese. Lo consiglio vivamente, anche perchè in Thailandia ci sono poche ricette e alla fine mangi sempre quelle. Con questo corso, conosci gli ingredienti che usano in quello che mangi, motivo per cui ti suggerisco di farlo all'inizio della vacanza e non alla fine come noi. 
Lo chef ci ha lasciato i menu con tutte le ricette scritte per poterle provare anche in Italia e un diploma di partecipazione. Alla fine abbiamo mangiato tutta la roba che abbiamo cucinato, ben 5 ricette. Erano davvero buone, ma il cibo era così tanto che abbiamo fatto fatica a finirlo.
Credo che questa esperienza, nella sua semplicità, sia stata una delle più belle di tutta la vacanza!

Corso di cucina thailandese

Torre Baiyoke II è una torre con 88 piani, ristoranti e hotel. 
L'entrata costa 20 euro senza buffet, altrimenti con circa 50 euro si può usufruire di un buffet completo. 
Al 85esimo piano si trova lo skybar dove è possibile gustare un drink guardando il panorama fuori, mentre la stanza gira permettendoti una vista a 360 gradi. Io ho preso un drink (partono da circa 10 euro) che non era nemmeno buono, ma l'ho fatto per godermi la vista. Ti consiglio di andare verso orario tramonto/sera per vedere tutta la città illuminata. E' un panorama impressionante, specialmente se pensi a quanto sei in alto. Se soffri di vertigini meglio non farlo!

Torre Baiyoke II

Se sei un fissato di moda come il mio ragazzo non puoi non prenderti qualche giorno per girare tutte le Mall di Bangkok. L'MBK center è un immenso centro commerciale di otto piani in cui troverai qualsiasi fake immaginabile. Alcuni sono fatti anche bene, nonostante i prezzi siano davvero folli. Stai attento, perchè a volte cercano persino di fregarti. 
La cosa assurda è che proprio di fronte a questa Mall se ne trova un'altra piena di brand originali di alta moda. Abbiamo fatto un giro anche lì e non mancano Gucci, Armani, Burberry, Valentino, Dolce e Gabbana, Louis Vuitton ecc... 
Bangkok è davvero una città incredibile e stravagante, a mio parere, nonostante tutte le cose negative, è impossibile non amarla.

The chef, a truly nice and patient lady, took us on a tour of the market, explaining the various ingredients and their origins. It was truly interesting!
Let me start by saying that this tour was supposed to be a group of 15 people, but in the end there were only two of us, my boyfriend and I, which was a great thing.
We cooked all afternoon; the chef patiently showed us what to do, and we repeated. It was a lot of fun, and we learned a lot about Thai cuisine. I highly recommend it, especially because there are so few recipes in Thailand, and you always end up eating the same ones. With this course, you learn about the ingredients used in what you eat, which is why I suggest you do it at the beginning of your vacation, rather than at the end like we did.
The chef left us the menus with all the recipes written down so we could try them in Italy, along with a certificate of participation. In the end, we ate everything we cooked—five recipes in total. They were really good, but there was so much food we struggled to finish it.
I think this experience, in its simplicity, was one of the best of the entire vacation!

Thai cooking class

Baiyoke II Tower is an 88-story tower with restaurants and a hotel.
Entrance costs 20 euros without a buffet, or you can enjoy a full buffet for about 50 euros.
On the 85th floor is the skybar, where you can enjoy a drink while admiring the view outside, while the room rotates for a 360-degree view. I had a drink (starting at about 10 euros), which wasn't even good, but I did it to enjoy the view. I recommend going around sunset/evening to see the entire city lit up. It's an impressive view, especially considering how high you are. If you suffer from vertigo, it's best not to do it!

If you're a fashionista like my boyfriend, you can't miss out on a few days to explore all the malls in Bangkok. The MBK Center is a huge eight-story mall where you'll find every fake item imaginable. Some are actually well-made, despite the ridiculous prices. Be careful, because sometimes they even try to rip you off.
The crazy thing is that right across the street from this mall is another one full of original high-fashion brands. We wandered around there too, and there were plenty of Gucci, Armani, Burberry, Valentino, Dolce & Gabbana, Louis Vuitton, and so on.
Bangkok is truly an incredible and extravagant city. In my opinion, despite all the negatives, it's impossible not to love it.
