Porto, Porto, Portugal
molto bella fuori
Porto is a beautiful place! Would love to come back. It is famous for the ceramic tiles on the facades, the so-called azulejos, those are visible all over the city.
The Church of Santo Ildefonso is located in Praça da Batalha, the center of the city of Porto, Portugal. When the Church was first built was unknown, but it was documented at least before 1296. Because original chapel was damaged by storm and other natural causes, it was rebuilt in 1730 and went through a few renovations and major repairs, although chapel’s architect name is also unknown for 1730 rebuilt. The church is Baroque architecture and is famous for its double bell towers. The church only has limited time access for the public, because it has been considered by Portuguese government as a Property of Public Interest.
