Tour consigliatissimo! La guida parlava molto bene inglese ed era gentile e accurata. I templi che abbiamo visto sono stati stupendi, specialmente il Tempio Bianco è qualcosa che bisogna assolutamente vedere. Fortunatamente non c'era troppa gente. 
Anche il museo di Baan Dam con i suoi quadri oscuri è davvero interessante. Se ti piace il tema dell'occulto e del mistero, questo museo fa per te. Inoltre, scaricandosi un app che consigliano all'ingresso del museo è possibile vedere i dipinti prendere vita, ma niente spoiler...
E' stata una giornata intensa, ma ben organizzata, ne vale indubbiamente la pena. Se vai a Chiang Mai non puoi non passare per Chiang Rai e vedere le meraviglie di questa città!

My second time visiting this temple, I went there early in the morning and it was great, very few people around. The place is just amazing and worth the visit.

A very loud and annoying audio is constantly playing by the entrance telling people to keep walking and no blocking entrance, it removes the silence and peace of the first part of the temple.  Apart from this, great visit!

It's famous for a reason. Lovely fresh clean setup. Even the toilets building was being photographed by tourists. Massive car park. Aim to go late afternoon when most of the tourists have already gone. It shuts at 5pm so aim for about 3pm. Free entry. If you want to walk into the white temple itself for photos, there is a 100 baht entry fee. But the surrounding grounds are free. There is a golden temple at the back which is just as nice. A small lake with a golden bridge. A couple of art museums and souvenir shops. Nice clean air con restaurants near the parking. Well worth a trip to see the detail and effort that has gone into it. I also went to the blue temple a 20 minutes drive away but was not impressed.

100 baht entry not too bad as it’s quite a big temple complex. Really beautiful and definitely worth the visit! Obviously it’s fairly busy with tourists as it’s one of the main things to do here but the temple can still be enjoyed in my opinion.
I came via the public transport which is 25 baht each way from bus terminal 1.

The temple was larger than I expected, and the golden temple was incredibly beautiful. I was worried it might be too similar to other temples, but I still think it’s worth a visit.

There are inspirational quotes written on the trees, making it a pleasant walk as you read them along the way. You can also hang a bell by making a donation, which I found to be a meaningful experience. I recommend writing your family's names and ringing the bell for a special moment.

A landmark to not be missed. A very pleasant place to visit.

This temple is one of the bigger and grander temples in the Old town area. This is a good place to meet with your group at the start or finish of your trip as it is at the end/ beginning of the main road of the Old town.

This temple are is rather huge and a good place to wander around as it has many quiet and peaceful spaces inside the temple and outside in the courtyard. The temple has monastery and housed facilities for the monks including some studies.

More so this temple is also the anchor where the Sunday market starts. In fact the shops starts inside this area (on the side walk).

My visit to Wat Phra Singh Woramahawihan was truly rewarding. The architectural magnificence and unique brilliance of the temple were captivating. The golden spires reaching toward the sky, the breathtaking golden Buddha, and the mini Buddha statues adorned with golden foil were all stunning. The lush gardens and the sight of Buddhist monks in their orange robes left me in awe. The rain and cloudy weather felt like a gift from nature, as it would have been less enjoyable if it were sunny. The temple was not crowded, likely due to the rain. The entry fee was 50 Baht, with free entry for Thai locals. The fragrant aroma of incense and the vibrant, multi-colored scripture writings hanging around the temple added to the picture-perfect atmosphere. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Chiang Mai, as it is a testament to the rich Buddhist culture, history, and architecture.

I templi di Chiang Mai 

Al Kalare Night Bazaar di Chiang Mai si trova uno spazio dedicato ai combattimenti di Muay Thai. Non è nè bello nè grande come uno stadio, ma costa un terzo e i combattimenti sono seri. Io ho pagato 15 euro sedendomi sugli spalti più alti (quindi avevo la visuale migliore), mentre per lo stadio i prezzi partono da 50 euro in base a dove ti siedi. 
I combattimenti sono stati molto accesi e devo dire che mi ha preso molto come sport. Se non ti da fastidio la violenza e non sei sensibile al sangue (nel mio caso è capitato che sanguinassero) ti consiglio di andare a vedere un combattimento perchè fa parte della loro cultura.  
Approfittane anche per mangiare qualcosa nei dintorni e farti un giro per le bancarelle, lo spettacolo non inizia prima delle 21,00/21,30

This has only kids fighting.. the oldest one might have been 20yo.. for kids fighting the price was very expensive

Highly recommended tour! The guide spoke very good English and was kind and thorough. The temples we saw were stunning, especially the White Temple, which is a must-see. Luckily, it wasn't too crowded.
The Baan Dam Museum, with its dark paintings, is also really interesting. If you like the occult and mystery, this museum is for you. Plus, by downloading an app recommended at the museum entrance, you can see the paintings come to life, but no spoilers...
It was a busy day, but well-organized, and definitely worth it. If you go to Chiang Mai, you can't miss Chiang Rai and see the wonders of this city!

The Temples of Chiang Mai 

At the Kalare Night Bazaar in Chiang Mai, there's a space dedicated to Muay Thai fights. It's neither as beautiful nor as big as a stadium, but it costs a third of the price and the fights are serious. I paid 15 euros for a seat in the highest stands (which gave me the best view), while for the stadium, prices start at 50 euros depending on where you sit.
The fights were very heated, and I must say I really enjoyed the sport. If you don't mind violence and aren't sensitive to blood (in my case, I've seen blood), I recommend going to a fight because it's part of their culture.
Take the opportunity to grab a bite to eat nearby and browse the stalls; the show doesn't start until 9:00-9:30 PM.

Muay Thai Fighting

Pros:
- Large, spacious, and simply gorgeous room overlooking the pool
- Excellent location
- Very good breakfast
- Incredibly friendly staff
This was my favorite accommodation.
