Arabba anche se posizionata nella regione Veneto, è un'ottima soluzione per visitare l'Alto Adige e il Trentino.
La nostra casa, posizionata in zona comodissima con a pochi metri negozi e supermercato, aveva tutti i comfort necessari: dal posto auto privato, al riscaldamento ad una cucina completa di forno e lavastoviglie! 

Lago di Braies: il lago più bello delle Dolomiti!

Il giro ad anello del lago è stato davvero semplice. 
Ad inizio giro trovate la famosa palafitta da cui si può noleggiare una piccola imbarcazione per effettuare il giro sulle sue acque. Il costo è elevato e la fila per accedervi interminabile! 
Lungo il percorso molte sono le aree pic-nic dove potervi fermare, c’è un unico tratto “stancante” formato da una scalinata che termina su una delle spiagge del lago. Qui è possibile fermarsi a godere del magnifico panorama. Durante il nostro giro abbiamo fatto centinaia di foto, tutte da un punto differente e tutte con delle sfumature di colori diversi. Per molti è il più bel lago delle Dolomiti e una volta che lo si vede da vicino, se ne capisce il motivo.

The highlight of our trip- if you can I would try to go early morning and walk it twice! Morning view is so different from afternoon. Parking cost us 10 euros for 3 hrs I think. It was well worth it. I think it would be best to come when there are no boats in the water so early morning.  Bring your swimming suit!

Absolutely wonderful lake, surrounding environment, peaceful. In reality it looks even more beautiful than in the photos. It takes an hour to go around the lake.Public parking is nearby €6 for all day.

Highly recommended for easy hike and stroll. This place is family friendly, good for all ages with some very manageable hike around the lakes. There are more aggressive trails into the mountain. Rowing is a great option if it is not raining. Bring your own food and water, the options there are limited to 2-3 cafes but you can always head to the next closest town for a nice sit down restaurant. The hotel has a classic huge dining room that caters to group (by reservation) and hotel guests. The food was not commendable.

Abbiamo mangiato degli ottimi panini accompagnati da una bella birra gelata!

What a beautiful location to grab a bite to eat! The food is delicious and very tasty. I wish I had the stomach to try everything!

It is self service so don't wait at a table for a waiter. They do plate the food for you inside. But you have to go inside, just so you know.

If you ever find yourself near Lago di Braies, you really should try this place!

16.5 euro for 5 meatballs with two side dishes. Despite the high price, the staff who served the dish had a very bad attitude, only put a few pieces of vegetables on the plate. And you pay additional for use their toilet. OMG, the only thing this place cares about is money.

Surprisingly for a touristic place - the coffee was really good and they even had soy milk available! And the Apple strudel was great. We really enjoyed this nice moment of coffee after hiking in the lake

Emmas Bistro

Although Arabba is located in the Veneto region, it's an excellent base for visiting Alto Adige and Trentino.
Our house, conveniently located just a few meters from shops and a supermarket, had all the necessary amenities: from private parking to heating and a full kitchen with oven and dishwasher!

Lake Braies: the most beautiful lake in the Dolomites!

The circular tour of the lake was really easy.
At the beginning of the tour, you'll find the famous stilt house where you can rent a small boat to tour its waters. The cost is high, and the line to get in is endless!
There are many picnic areas along the route where you can stop; there's only one "tiring" section consisting of a staircase that ends on one of the lake's beaches. Here, you can stop and enjoy the magnificent view. During our tour, we took hundreds of photos, all from different angles and all with different shades of color. For many, it's the most beautiful lake in the Dolomites, and once you see it up close, you'll understand why.

We ate some excellent sandwiches accompanied by a nice cold beer!
