Amazing palace surrounded with small mountains. This is ceremonial palace of Sultan of Oman and the official function held here, so they don't allow to visit inside but are worth viewing Palace from outside.  Very beautiful and stunning views from outside.
This palace is opposite to the National Museum of Oman.
Lots  of parking available near palace.

The Al Alam Palace and its surrounding area are truly impressive, showcasing stunning architecture and a well-maintained environment. The grandeur of the palace, combined with the picturesque surroundings, makes it a must-visit destination.

A very impressive and well organized palace
A place where the governmental and Sultanate leaders are located but without any annoyance for the tourist, you can go around the palace smoothly and see all the beautiful landscape and neighborhood, it is recommended to visit it during the day and visit it again at night to see it in a different status and see the wonderful night light for the palace, you can relax and enjoy the calm and clean palace, it is highly recommended  to visit this palace when you visit Oman Sultanate

Al Alam Palace

Bellissima moschea, purtroppo noi abbiamo avuto poco tempo per visitarla ma merita

A must see if you're in Oman. There was a picture worthy moment every time I turned. The biggest (second in weight) is a marvel to look at. I also really liked all the Arabic styled arched outside the mosque. Oh, did I mention it's free to enter.

The Grand Mosque is one of the most beautiful man made places I have ever been. The chandelier is absolutely magnificent. It's free to get in. If you are non-Muslim you can come in the morning after 8am but no later than 10 or 11 and not on Friday at all, so plan accordingly. Also, since it is a mosque try to dress modestly. If you don't have what is needed the mosque does have a place where proper clothing will be provided. There are guides standing out front offering a guided tour and a self guided audio tour option as well. The grounds themselves are as beautiful and picturesque as the mosque. It's definitely worth the time to see if you are in Oman.

An incredible mosque that has some of the best architecture I’ve ever seen. Very clean and quiet, amazing for pictures and inside the mosque it’s really pretty. Was also free to enter as well which was a bonus.

Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque

Molto pieno sia di attività che di persone. Interessante da visitare ma non imperdibile.

Great market to buy souvenirs. It has a great vibe. Some parts are really beautiful.
Unfortunately it's hard to find genuine handmade items, made in Oman. There are many Chinese cheap plastic items and most places sell the same.

Old fashioned Bazaar.
Shops are full of spices, perfume oils, and laddies scarfs.
Please do bargain.
Can get very busy during cruise ships season, which i from December to March.
Be polite, please. Lovely hardworking people.

Good old and traditional shopping distention by the beach, repeated shops! so many identical shops next each other, not much to see or buy, good visit just 1-2 hours, there are no much of rest areas like coffee shops or restaurants within the shopping area, nice views from mountains, clean and good place to discover.
